In a previous article, we shared a free crochet pattern for a Crewmate toy, and now, in this guide, we present a pattern for the monster from the popular game Among Us. This amigurumi pattern includes step-by-step instructions, helpful tips, and everything you need to bring your crochet creation to life.

Materials and tools:

Original yarn: Kid`s cotton (100% mercerized cotton, 330m/361 yds per 100 g skein) approx. 47 yds.

Alternative yarn: #2 Fine / Sport. You can use any yarn.

2.00 mm hook

Stuffing (polyfil, yarn straps, etc.)

Yarn needle

Scissors

Stitch markers

Felt for teeth

Textile glue

Finish size: when using similar materials, the doll will be 8 cm - 3" high and 5,5 cm – 2" wide.

Abbreviations (US)

• blo - back loop only
• ch – chain
• flo - front loop only
• inc – increase – work 2 sc in 1 st of previous rnd
• PM - put marker
• rep – repeat

• sc – single crochet
• sc2tog – single crochet 2 together (sc dec)

LEGS (make 2)

First leg

Make a magic ring of 6sc, sl st

Rnd 1:  ch1, repeat (inc )*6, sl st (12)

Rnd 2: ch1, repeat (1 sc, inc) *6, sl st (18)

Rnd 3: blo: 18 sc

Rnds 4-5: 18 sc

Rnd 6: 18 sc, sl st. Cut the yarn and weave in ends. PM to indicate the last sc in this round. I use a piece of yarn in a contrasting color.

Second leg

Repeat first leg, but don`t cut the yarn!

BASIC CREWMATE BODY (part1)

Сontinue crochet from the second leg.

Rnd 1: ch 2, take the first leg and crochet sl st through the loop marked with a marker,  1 sc, put another marker (indicate the beginning of the Rnd 1 of the body), 17 sc on the first leg,  1 sc on the next 2 ch, 18 sc on the second leg, 1 sc on the next 2 ch (40).

Rnd 2: 40 sc

Rnds 3-7: repeat Rnd 2 (40)

Cut the yarn and weave in ends.

PM to indicate 18 central stiches

BASIC CREWMATE BODY (part2)

Make a magic ring of 6sc, no join

Rnd 1: repeat (inc )*6 (12)

Rnd 2: repeat (inc, 1 sc) *6 (18)

Rnd 3: repeat (inc, 2 sc) *6 (24)

Rnd 4: repeat (inc, 3 sc) *6 (30)

Rnd 5: repeat (inc, 4 sc) *6 (36)

Rnd 6: repeat (inc, 5 sc) *6 (42)

Rnd 7: 19 sc, sc2tog, 19 sc, sc2tog (40)

Rnds 8-15: 40 sc, but do not cut yarn.

Crochet the next 22 sc by connecting Part1 and Part2 (fold them facing each other).

Crochet part 1  - back loop only, part 2 – front loop only.

Stuff the both parts of body.

MOUTH

With darker color, in my case is black.

Make a magic ring of 6sc, no join.

Rnd 1:  repeat (inc )*6 (12)

Rnd 2:  repeat (inc, 1 sc )*6 (18)

Rnd 3:  1 sc, repeat (inc, 2 sc )*5, inc, 1 sc (24)

Rnd 4:  2 sc, repeat (inc, 3 sc )*5, inc, 1 sc (30)

Rnd 5:  3 sc, repeat (inc, 4 sc )*5, inc, 1 sc (36)

Cut the yarn and weave in ends.

Attach the circle with part 1 and part.

Cut 8 white felt triangles and glue them.

Attach your tongue* to the middle of the circle.

*Tongue: take red yarn, ch 20, turn, sl st* till the end.

 

SPACE HELMET

Chain 11

Rnd 1: 1 sc int second ch from the hook, 8 sc, 3 sc in the next st, turn, 9 sc, st st (21)

Rnd 2: ch 1, inc, 8 sc, 3 inc, 8 sc, inc, 1 sc, sl st (27)

Rnd 3: ch 1, 27 sc, sl st.

Using black yarn crochet sl st along the last round of the helmet. Fasten off, leaving a long tail approx. 40 cm (16 inch).

Stuff lightly and attach to the front of the body between rounds 11-15 of body. Make sure the piece is centered between the legs.

BACKPACK

With main color yarn.

Rnd 1: ch 10, sc in second ch from hook, 7 sc, inc, 8 sc, no join. PM.

Rnd 2: blo: sc in each st around  (18)

Rnds 3-9: sc in each st around (18)

Rnd 10: blo: sc in next 9 st only.

Fasten off, leaving a long tail.

Stuff lightly and sew closed.
